SAVE BURMA-The Burmese government has turned against its people yet again, and that, only days after promising UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon that all foreign aid workers would be let in to the country.    MORE

DO WE DARE BELIEVE IN CHANGE?- As the Zimbabwe opposition leader Tsvangirai returned home two days ago, the election campaign is back on track and Tsvangirai seems certain about replacing Mugabe from his Presidential position.     MORE

HUMAN SHAME- As the riots in South Africa continues so does the comparison with the former Apartheid regime, although this time around it is the oppressed which has become the oppressors.     MORE  

HARMS TRUST- It seems like George W Bush’s dream of recreating ‘The Cold War’ is staying just that, a dream as both Russia and China have come together and condemn the US plan for a missile defence shield in Europe.     MORE

UN TO ENTER BURMA-The leader of Burma’s military junta has finally agreed to let all foreign aid workers in to the country for relief work, in the areas affected by Cyclone Nargis.     MORE 

 

THE COWARDS BOW TO PRESSURE-The cowards of the Burmese regime are now bowing under pressure as the Junta has declared three days of national mourning for the sufferers, and the 78, 000 confirmed dead, after Cyclone Nargis hit the country, 18 days ago.     MORE

THE NEVER ENDING…SUFFERING- Zimbabwean refugees, living in South Africa after fleeing the political troubles at home are again under attack by a wave of South African xenophobic orientated riots.     MORE

 

WEEK 20 Monday 12/05/08- Sunday 18/05/08

SAVE THE CHILDREN- It took the leader of the Burmese military junta more than two weeks before meeting with the victims of cyclone Nargis today, and International aid assistance is still scarce.     MORE

THE DESTRUCTORNew figures show that the CO2 levels in the atmosphere are now at its highest in over 650,000 years.  Simultaneously the US announces the polar bear as a threatened species.   MORE

DIRTY DEALINGS- As the Chinese government seeks to look after the victims of Monday’s earthquake, the Burmese people are suffering the aftermath of the cyclone, without any help.     MORE

CRUEL INTENTIONS- The death toll after Cyclone Nargis continue to rise as the Burmese government is still trying to prevent foreign aid workers to enter the country.     MORE

 

WEEK 19 Monday 05/05/08- Sunday 11/05/08

THE CATASTROPHE- As Israel celebrate its 60th anniversary as a Nation State, 80percent of the Palestinian people are depended on the UN for basic food supplies.     MORE                                                                          

SCOTLAND…WAKEUP-The recent ‘fuel crisis’ feared in Scotland, after workers at Grangemouth refinery went on a 48 hour strike at the end of April, created an uprising of angry citizens complaining about the workers not taking the consequences of the strike into  consideration.     MORE                                                                                                                                                          

 WEEK 18  Monday 28/04/08- Sunday 04/05/08

EUROPE’S GRIEF- On Saturday, one year has past since Madeleine McCann went missing in Praia da Luz, Portugal, and the search continues.     MORE

VOTE FOR CHANGE- Although ‘vote for change’ has been central to the campaigns of both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, the latest comment from Clinton may suggest the opposite.     MORE

DEMOCRACY, THE AMERICAN WAY-The US military are recruiting more ex-cons, BBC news reported on Tuesday, after a report issued by a Congressional committee showed that 861 formerly convicted criminals had been granted waivers to enlist.     MORE

 

WEEK 16   Monday 14/04/08- Sunday 20/04/08 

IRAQI JUSTICE-The recent ruling from the High Court, awarding an Iraqi teenager a £2million compensation for being accidentally shot by a British soldier has spark controversy and Briton’s show their anger claiming the ruling is an injustice towards British forces.     MORE 

PROTESTS FUELLED DEBATE- BBC news reported on Tuesday the headline: “China ‘gold medal’ for executions” in relation to critiques by Amnesty International of the countries history of human rights violations and secrecy over the death penalty.     MORE
